With spring inching closer and closer it’s time to start posting again. We have made some upgrades and improvements to the Inn as we always do. Some you’ll notice, some not. We have already booked a few great bands for weekends in the summer, both Saturdays and Sundays. The Town is working on upgrades to the water system for the dock, bathrooms and well. We are looking for an early May start date as usual.
Hi all,
There will be a Public Comment period regarding the NYS’s proposed TOBAY to Captree bike path on Wednesday 10-25 from 4-8pm at the West Bathhouse at Jones Beach; parking is available in Field 4. The proposed bike path would extending the current bike path which terminates at TOBAY to the Captree State Boat Basin.
Also, we are still open and will be for Halloween and that following weekend. The kitchen will close for service and shutdown on Sunday Nov. 1st but the bar will be open through November 5th. After that, it’s countdown to our 2018 season! Have fun, thanks and of course…….Get Some!
Finally, that humidity broke and we have a beautiful day ahead of us with waves and light off shore conditions. I believe the Bunger surf competition is this Saturday, and Byrne Unit, a fan favorite, will be playing this Sunday. Fall will come soon enough folks, hang on to summer as long as you can.

This Sunday Funday will feature the band “Wiggum” for their second show at the GBI. Music starts at 1pm and we will run straight through sunset with cold beer, cocktails, juicy burgers and our famous snap-dogs and fries….
Come down and help us grind through this crazy summer together.

We are frequently asked about live music at the Inn. We’ve been lucky to have 5 bands this season with more to come. Unfortunately, we’ve had to cancel a few due to weather. “Wiggum” is scheduled on Sunday 8/20. “Byrne Unit” is 8/27 and then “Wiggum” again on 9/3…
I’ll keep you posted on future bands and dates.
