Nice to see Brad Schneider walk through the door this morning. Here’s a cool old design he made for a vintage GBI t-shirt years ago.
Gilgo Beach Bar and Grill
I’ve often compared running the Inn to Deadliest Catch. It’s a 100mph and then wham, it’s over. Halloween we will wrap up the ’17 season and we just wanted to express our most sincere gratitude for all of the well wishes and support. It means everything to us to preserve the beach culture and provide a place for everyone to be comfortable. I’ll be posting though the off season and already planning for Spring. Keep an eye on the newspaper for updates regarding the bike path.
Thanks again,
Mc & Steve
Hi all,
There will be a Public Comment period regarding the NYS’s proposed TOBAY to Captree bike path on Wednesday 10-25 from 4-8pm at the West Bathhouse at Jones Beach; parking is available in Field 4. The proposed bike path would extending the current bike path which terminates at TOBAY to the Captree State Boat Basin.
Also, we are still open and will be for Halloween and that following weekend. The kitchen will close for service and shutdown on Sunday Nov. 1st but the bar will be open through November 5th. After that, it’s countdown to our 2018 season! Have fun, thanks and of course…….Get Some!
We are still holding it down at the GBI until Halloween week. The weather has been great for a sweatshirt and some sunshine. Jets and Giants are on this Sunday. Cold beer and hot chowder is in order.
Get Some!
My whole childhood, the Inn had Manhattan Clam Chowder. For whatever reason they discontinued it when I was a young man and that was the end of that. Steve and I thought is was an easy enough thing to add to our menu so we whipped one up. With some final tweaks we offered it yesterday for the first time in 15 years, I’d say. Well, similar to Ranae’s muffins, it flew. So I guess while she’s making fresh muffins with the boys, I guess my new job is clam shucker…….
